How To Apply for RRB Exam 2016 Online: Step by Step Procedure

The Indian Railways has recently released the notification for the recruitment of 18252 posts and has invited applications from all the eligible candidates. The candidates who are interested should apply for the posts Online and there is no other mode of accepting the application form. However, the candidates who wish to apply for the posts should register themselves on the official website by entering all the required details which are mandatory. The candidates can simply check the details like ‘How to Apply Online?’ by simply walking through this article.
How To Apply for RRBs Online: Step by Step Procedure
The Railway Recruitment Board is a government organization which is under the Ministry of Railways. The Indian Railways will release the notification every year for various posts and will recruit suitable candidates. The candidates who are interested will apply for the posts online and will appear for the exam. Like every year, it has released the notification for the recruitment of 18252 posts like Commercial Apprentice, Traffic Apprentice, Enquiry-cum-Reservation Clerk, Good Guard, Assistant Station Master, Traffic Assistant, Jr. Accounts Assistant-cum-Typist, Sr. Clerk-cum-Typist, Sr. Time Keeper in all RRBs across the country.
However, one must register themselves first on the official website. The candidates who are interested can check the step by step procedure on How to apply online for the posts. The application process consists of 4 stages i.e., Primary stage, Secondary stage, Payment stage, Final stage.
  • First, Visit the official website of the respective board of RRB
  • Click on ‘Apply Online for NTPC Categories of C.E.N.No.03/2015
  • Click on the link ‘New Registration’
  • Choose Your Railway Recruitment Board. Check it and click on ‘Apply Now’

  • Read the instructions and keep all the necessary documents with you mentioned below which are needed for the primary registration and check both the boxes and click on Accept button

  • Primary Stage: After accepting the declaration, you’ll be directed to Primary stage where the candidate should fill all the personal details

  • After filling all the details, Click on ‘Click to Continue’
  • After clicking Continue, you’ll be directed to Primary Registration Confirmation where you have to verify and confirm and click on Submit. If you have to modify some details, you can click on ‘Back to details’

  • Once you submit it, it will show the details of registration and will ask you to activate the OTP. Click on ‘Activate OTP’ and an OTP will be sent to the mobile number you have registered.

  • Whether or not you activate the OTP, you’ll be directed to a new page, fill up all the details and click on submit.

  • After entering OTP and clicking on Submit, the primary registration has been completed. The registration number will be sent to your mail id and to your mobile number.

  • Secondary Stage: The candidates now should enter the registration number, date of birth sent to the mail id/mobile number. Enter all the details like Post preferences, Exam city choices, Communication details and qualification details and click on ‘Click to Continue’

  • Confirm the details and then submit. You’ll be directed to the Payment page. The candidates should enter the payment mode, bank and then Click on ‘Pay Now’

  • If you select the Offline Mode, then ‘Print challan button’ will be displayed. Click on the button to download challan and print it. The candidates should pay the fee in the nearest computerized post office. The candidates will get a journal number.
  • The candidates should log in again after two-three working days. Enter the journal number, upload photograph along with caste certificate (if applicable) and submit it finally. Take print out of application form for further reference.
  • If you select the Online Mode, you can select Online or Offline SBI and Associate banks payment methods. You will be redirected to the following page.

  • Select the bank and pay the prescribed amount. After the completion of payment successfully, the candidates will be directed to the following page
  • The candidates who are exempted from the fee will be directed to the final stage.The candidates should upload the photograph and caste certificate.
  • Finally, the candidates should Check the declaration box and click on ‘Complete My Registration’
  • The candidates who submitted successfully will be asked to ‘Print the Application Form’.
